FleetMatics and FleetCor Agree to Launch Branded Fuel Card

FleetMatics, a global provider of fleet management solutions for commercial fleet vehicles, has announced that the company and FleetCor Technologies, Inc., a global provider of specialized payment products and services to businesses, have agreed to launch the FleetMatics Fuel Card, a Universal Premium Fleet Card. The fuel card fully integrates with FleetMatics’ GPS Tracking System and works in tandem with FleetMatics’ Fuel Card Reporting application to create detailed transaction and usage reports by either individual vehicles or the entire fleet.

According to FleetMatics CEO Jim Travers, “Our FleetMatics GPS Tracking System and suite of Fuel Card Reports have always provided commercial fleet owners with an easy, cost-effective way to improve driver productivity and reduce fuel usage. Now, with the new FleetMatics Fuel Card, owners and managers can gain complete visibility and control over fuel usage and related expenses. Our arrangement with FleetCor allows us to deliver flexible billing and payment options, personal assistance, and training to optimize controls and savings, and strong, customizable purchasing controls that can help avoid any incidence of abuse or theft.”

Jeff Lamb, FleetCor’s EVP of U.S. Sales and Marketing, commented, “FleetCor is excited to be providing FleetMatics with fuel cards that integrate seamlessly with FleetMatics’ GPS solution. We believe that fuel card integration provides a superior service to FleetMatics’ customers by offering complete visibility into vehicle and driver performance and behavior. This enhanced insight and reporting is expected to yield an even faster payback to companies operating both large and small fleets.”
