Keep Track with the IAG Cargo App

IAG Cargo, the company that brings together British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo, has launched an innovative free iPhone and Android app which allows customers to track and trace air freight documented on Iberia and British Airways World Cargo Air Waybills (AWB). The app also provides full access to information on both brands’ extensive global schedules and networks.

The easy-to-use app provides customers with access to real-time tracking information on their shipments simply by entering the AWB number or reading the barcode with the device's camera. Customers can also plan their next shipment. By selecting the desired origin and destination, the IAG Cargo app will display the wide choice of flights available via the expanded British Airways and Iberia networks.

Angel Luis Cabeza Rivas, IAG Cargo Senior Vice President (SVP) of eBusiness & Platform said, “Our investment in an industry leading phone app is a further example of IAG Cargo’s commitment to the air freight industry and to our customer experience. Through the app, we are applying up-to-the-minute technology to ensure our customers can access essential information via their iPhone or Android smartphones, wherever they are.”

The application, available in English and Spanish, is free to download via the Android Market on Android phones or the Android Market Web site. The app is available to download for iPhones through iTunes, and a BlackBerry version will be launched in the near future.

GT Nexus podcast

Supply chain visibility is an appealing yet elusive capability for most companies. While most recognize the significant benefits that would accrue from comprehensive visibility, few have made it a reality across their global operations. Part of the problem companies seem to have in embracing and implementing visibility is the lack of a comprehensive definition or firm understanding of the transformational potential. In this podcast, World Trade and GT Nexus will discuss the definitions and opportunities as well as how new cloud technology platforms are driving significant value to major companies today.

Speaker: Greg Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder of GT Nexus
