Pittsburgh-based less-than-truckload (LTL) provider PITT OHIO, has selected Manhattan Associates to provide IT solutions to help consolidate its freight operations.
PITT-OHIO has selected Manhattan Associates’ SuperSpin to optimize its LTL LineHaul network and expects to increase profits by providing specialized and advanced visibility within its complex freight network. The move should also reduce operating costs and enhance customer service.
"We made a strategic decision to step away from a manual process, and invest in freight consolidation that reduced operating costs, decreased miles and maximized our driver roster," said Darren Klaum, Business Systems Group director at PITT OHIO. "We were looking for more consistency and investing in Manhattan has been an effective use of our resources."
SuperSpin is designed to provide specialized and advanced visibility into less-than-truckload (LTL), small package, and less-than-containerload (LCL) shipments by helping design and evaluate changes to linehaul networks.
