The Port of Vancouver USA welcomed the M/V Pac Suhail on her maiden voyage to the United States.
Commanded by Capt. Corbeanu Gheorghe of Romania, M/V Pac Suhail and its 21-member Filipino, Chinese, and Myanmarian crew were welcomed to Vancouver by Gary Martinke, port manager for Inchcape Shipping Services and port representatives Lars Uglum, Katie Odem, Mark Newell, Rena Bellamy and Victoria Averett when it docked at the Port of Vancouver USA on its maiden voyage to the U.S.
The M/V Pac Suhail is classified as a multi-purpose container and bulk carrier, which unloaded windmill components for Nordex USA, Inc.
The M/V Pac Suhail was built by Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding in China and launched on December 27, 2011. The vessel is 590 feet in length and has a deadweight capacity of 27,229.60 metric tons. The vessel is owned by Suhail Shipping Pte. Ltd. and operated by Pacc Ship Managers Pte. Ltd., both located in Singapore. The agent for the vessel was Inchcape Shipping Services.
