Ryder SC Execs to Speak at Packaging Design Conference

Ryder System Inc. announced that Michael Rackley, Sr. Director of Product Completion, and Barry McNulty, Director of Business Development, will be speaking at the Packaging Design Conference on September 26 at The Field Museum in Chicago, Ill.

Rackley's and McNulty's presentation, Product Optimization: Streamlining the Production Process and Controlling Costs throughout the Packaging Life-Cycle, will take place at 10:00 a.m. and will cover topics such as:

  • Linking brand image, design, and manufacturing to optimize total delivered cost;
  • Examining the value of integrating packaging, product/retail configuration, and logistics to achieve year-over-year savings; and
  • Applying postponement strategies and LEAN cellular manufacturing to instill supply chain flexibility and agility to satisfy volatile consumer demand.

From design through delivery, Ryder offers "state-of-the-art" primary and secondary packaging facilities across North America. Ryder's packaging solutions are intended to get customers' products shelf-ready in the electronics, retail, food and beverage sectors.
