Global logistics provider Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation (OL&T) is expanding its Charlotte operation and has moved to new office space.

Headquartered in Danbury, Conn., OL&T has leased 25,000 square feet in the LakePointe Business Park. The company performed an extensive search in the Charlotte region before settling on LakePointe Business Park because of its central location and proximity to the airport.

The new office houses OL&T's customer service and global technology support along with a host of activities associated with OL&T transport and supply chain businesses. In addition, employees at this location are supporting business in Europe and Asia.

“We appreciate the support that we have received since locating one of our major operations in Charlotte nearly ten years ago,” says OL&T President and CEO Robert Shellman. “Charlotte offers OL&T a solid workforce talent pool and the infrastructure we need as our company continues to expand and serve a more diverse global customer base.”

OL&T worked with the Charlotte Chamber in 2003 to establish the company’s first Charlotte operation which originally employed 13 people. There are now 170 employees in Charlotte and more than 700 worldwide. OL&T is a global company with operations in North America, Europe, China and Japan.

As part of its expansion plan, OL&T plans to add more than 100 new employees in the coming years in the areas of customer service, operations and logistics management. New positions will be posted in the career section.
