JF Hillebrand Selects Menlo

Warehousing and Distribution Services Provided in Singapore

JF Hillebrand Singapore Pte. Ltd. selected Menlo Worldwide Logistics to provide warehousing and distribution services for William Grant & Sons.

JF Hillebrand is a specialist logistics provider to the global beverage industry with a network of wholly owned offices and agents in every major wine and spirits market. The company selected Menlo to provide logistics and customs brokerage in Singapore for world-renowned whisky distiller, William Grant & Sons.

Menlo will provide warehousing and inventory management services for product distributed by William Grant & Sons from Menlo’s 320,000-square-foot multi-client warehouse.

The scope of the relationship with JF Hillebrand’s customer includes import container clearance, customs permit declaration, container trucking, product unloading and put-away, storage of dutiable cargoes and point-of-sale material, bond-to-bond transfer of cargoes, re-export shipments and delivery of cargoes to port. Menlo also provides value-added services to the customer including labeling and repacking.

“We needed a partner in Singapore that was not only well-established in the region but that also had experience serving the needs of the wine and spirits industry,” said Ken Goh, branch manager, JF Hillebrand Singapore. Menlo has an extensive presence in Singapore with six multi-client facilities in the country.

“Because we’ve worked with Menlo for a number of years, we knew they were an outstanding logistics services provider with customs expertise.” Goh continued.

Supply chain visibility is an appealing yet elusive capability for most companies. While most recognize the significant benefits that would accrue from comprehensive visibility, few have made it a reality across their global operations. Part of the problem companies seem to have in embracing and implementing visibility is the lack of a comprehensive definition or firm understanding of the transformational potential. In this podcast, World Trade and GT Nexus will discuss the definitions and opportunities as well as how new cloud technology platforms are driving significant value to major companies today.

Speaker: Greg Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder of GT Nexus
