Strategic Cloud Partnership

EXL, a business process solutions company, and GT Nexus, a provider of cloud-based supply chain solutions, formed a strategic partnership to provide platform-based business process solutions to the global transportation and logistics industry.

"We run the GT Nexus platform for one of our largest clients in the transportation and logistics industry, and we know first-hand the strong value it creates in giving companies real-time insight into their global supply chains," said Bill Bloom, president of global client services at EXL. "Leveraging our proven experience to generate combined software and services offering delivers a strong value proposition for global transportation and logistics firms."

"EXL has impressive experience managing complex operations for global transportation and logistics companies, including running GT Nexus. This partnership provides an attractive opportunity to showcase our expertise to other firms in the industry," said Greg Johnsen, CMO and co-founder of GT Nexus.

Utilizing EXL's operations management expertise and GT Nexus' proprietary supply chain platform, EXL and GT Nexus run several mission-critical functions for transportation and logistics companies, such as contract rate management, shipment data collection and benchmarking and freight statistics. These activities are critical to transportation and logistics companies' ability to ensure accurate delivery and an efficient cost structure.

Assurance of Supply: A Top Concern for Manufacturers

Every manufacturer has an assurance of supply problem to some extent due to the complexity of global sourcing. For years, manufacturers were blessed with high margins but margins have grown paper thin. You can’t fill up your distribution centers with excess inventory – not only is there a cost factor but the pace of business and consumer buying trends causes goods to quickly turn obsolete. Assurance of supply provides the speed and agility that is essential to being able to compete in today’s market.
