JAXPORT executives welcomed representatives of Vac-Con, Inc. a Green Cove Springs, Fla.-based manufacturer of high performance, truck mounted vacuum equipment and hydro excavating machines, today as the company delivered 18 new jumbo-sized specialty trucks to be shipped from JAXPORT to Peru.

This single shipment represents more than $6 million in exports.

Since 1986, Vac-Con has manufactured more than 6,500 custom-built, truck-mounted machines to serve the public and private environmental markets worldwide, and now employs nearly 300 people at its single location in Green Cove Springs.

While Vac-Con’s primary business has been focused on building trucks for delivery in North America, exports to other countries continue to grow. This export order comes on the heels of a 20-truck shipment to Iraq a few weeks earlier.

JAXPORT moved more than 350,000 cars, trucks and pieces of heavy equipment internationally in 2013.
