Breakthrough Fuel Wins Transportation Partnership Award

The energy management firm presented with an award typically given to carriers.

February 25, 2014

Kraft Foods Group has presented Breakthrough Fuel with its Transportation Partnership Award. The award recognizes Breakthrough Fuel’s contributions to Kraft’s capability enhancements, cost management and service improvements initiatives.

“Breakthrough Fuel has been an instrumental partner for improvements in our supply chain energy management efforts,” said Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement Earl Schalk. “The firm’s expertise has helped increase our intermodal utilization by 27 percent, allowed us to implement continuous improvement initiatives and guide us in the development of our natural gas strategy for transporting goods to market. We truly value their knowledge and level of experience in helping Kraft achieve its energy management goals.”

This is the first time Kraft has given the award to a firm that was not a carrier.

“This recognition is greatly appreciated,” said Breakthrough Fuel CEO and Chief Innovation Officer Craig Dickman. “We’ve developed a great working relationship and are proud to be working with such a highly recognized and respected brand.”

Breakthrough Fuel has been working with Kraft since 2010.
