CaroTrans, a global NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, announces a new, weekly LCL export service from Le Havre, France to Houston which will commence April 5. This direct service shortens shipping time by 5-11 days for freight moving from France to the U.S. Gulf region including: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Laredo Austin, New Orleans, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, as well as Los Angeles on the West Coast. The Le Havre departure point eliminates the congestion, delays and additional handling associated with routing via Antwerp and Rotterdam. Transit times are the fastest in the market.

Houston is a major manufacturing center that leads in energy/oil and gas, aerospace, medical, biotechnology and software development. It is a strong trade link for France, a country with a solid manufacturing industry and export base including machinery and transportation equipment, aircraft, plastics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, iron, steel, consumer products, petroleum and cars. As a gateway to Mexico and all of Latin America, Houston as a trade link facilitates expedited service for French exports to these important growth markets.

This new service expands the scope of CaroTrans global service network and adds to the company’s depth of experience and specialization in the France - U.S. trade. Reliable, secure freight delivery is supported by a network of 14 local U.S. offices and 24 CFS (container freight stations) and the company’s hub office in Le Havre.

In this podcast, World Trade 100 and Amber Road highlight how a comprehensive global trade platform that converges both logistics and compliance costs can deliver true landed cost visibility.
