Effective May 27th, 2014, ProTrans Laredo is moving to a new facility located at 110 Consolidation Point, Laredo, Texas 78045.

Highly visible and easily accessible, in the Embarcadero Business Park, near the intersection of Loop 20 and Interstate Highway 35, the new ProTrans’ Laredo Facility offers nearly 222,000 square feet of warehouse space with more than 10,000 square feet of office space and 100 dock doors.

Craig Roeder, CEO of ProTrans says “Throughout our 21 year history, Laredo has been a key location for ProTrans and our customer base. I am very pleased to be continuing our presence in Laredo, especially with a facility and location we are so proud of. Our new building solidifies our commitment to the area; we look forward to being in Laredo for a very long time.” ProTrans has been located in Laredo, TX since 1996.

The new facility, which has easy access to International Bridge No.4, services customers in freight consolidation services, materials management, border processing and customs brokerage activities. In addition, it offers customers a variety of flexible inventory and fulfillment solutions as well as bonded warehouse space.

“This facility was designed with total efficiency in mind.” Says Shawn Masters, ProTrans’ chief commercial officer. “There are no facilities like this in the Laredo marketplace that have as many dock doors, trailer staging/parking areas, as much square footage and overall logical material flow than our new building. We are very pleased with the outcome of this design and look forward to the benefits it brings to our customers.”

Assurance of Supply: A Top Concern for Manufacturers

Every manufacturer has an assurance of supply problem to some extent due to the complexity of global sourcing. For years, manufacturers were blessed with high margins but margins have grown paper thin. You can’t fill up your distribution centers with excess inventory – not only is there a cost factor but the pace of business and consumer buying trends causes goods to quickly turn obsolete. Assurance of supply provides the speed and agility that is essential to being able to compete in today’s market.
