The GT Nexus Shipper Council, a community group of supply chain executives representing multiple large global enterprises, has recognized CEVA Logistics for its work in delivering consistent and high quality data for air shipments across multiple companies on the GT Nexus supply chain platform. CEVA, one of the world’s leading logistics providers, received the award during the annual GT Nexus Bridges user conference, held June 2-4, 2014.
The GT Nexus Shipper Council is a group of executives from large importers and exporters who collaborate to improve partner relations, technology performance and business processes. Companies on the Shipper Council, which have combined annual revenues of more than $1.7 trillion and work with every major supply chain provider, share GT Nexus as their global supply chain technology platform.
“The Shipper Council focuses on issues that benefit the entire GT Nexus business community and partner information exchange is a challenge everyone faces, which is why HP is an active member,” said David Thomas, global supply chain systems manager at Hewlett Packard and current Shipper Council Chairperson. “We like to recognize high performing partners for their excellent work because it is so valued by our community and shows other partners what’s possible. CEVA has reached a level of near 100 percent perfect data quality for air shipments, which is an achievement worth celebrating.”
The Shipper Council’s crowd sourcing approach to partner information sharing separates it from traditional software user groups because all companies share a common information platform that is connected to common supply chain partners.
“The Shipper Council encourages partners to find ways to support their common technology goals – and that’s a priority for us,” said Cindy Cochovity, CEVA’s EVP of Business Development, Americas. “CEVA takes pride in its approach to information sharing and partner relations to enhance performance of the full supply chain. We are extremely pleased to be recognized by our customers for that hard work.”
