Last week, voters in California approved two bond measures that could lead to over $3 billion in state funding for freight transportation infrastructure, port security and clean-air projects.

The outcome is considered a major success in the transportation community; despite the fact it will take months to plan the numerous infrastructure projects.

However, projects that have attracted local support and are making the greatest progress in the environmental review process will most likely be among the first to be initiated.
