Zim, Grand Alliance Launch New China-U.S. East Coast Service

Members of the Grand Alliance group of shipping lines-Hapag-Lloyd, NYK, and OOCL-along with Zim have teamed up to launch a new south China to U.S. East Coast Service.

The new eight 4,200-TEU South China East Coast Express (SCE) service has a rotation of Kaohsiung, Shekou, Hong Kong, Kingston, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, and returning to Kaohsiung, on a 56-day round trip.

The service is due to start in April, subject to filing with the Federal Maritime Commission.

The Grand Alliance members will provide five vessels and Zim will provide three.
