Beginning the second half of this year, customs offices at South Korea's Incheon International Airport will expand operations to 24-hours per day. Growing cargo volumes has prompted the extended operating hours, as well as the addition of staff, which will increase from 155 to 254 personnel.
The airport is on a quest to become the logistics and transshipment center of Northeast Asia, and has begun work on a master plan that includes the creation of a special tariff free zone and other incentives.
