Team Worldwide Awarded GSA Contract

Robert Mauro, President of Texas based global forwarder, Team Worldwide, announced that Team has been awarded a General Service Administration (GSA) Schedule 48 Contract from the U.S. Government.

Small Package and Express Heavyweight (SIN 451-1), and ground small package delivery services (SIN 451-2) are the services provided under the (Multiple Award Schedule) MAS contract GS-33F-0023W.

“With this contract, all government agencies will be able to utilize the same top level of service that has made the Team® name synonymous with service for our commercial customers,” states Mauro. Via the GSA schedule, federal, state and local agencies will experience the advantage of published rates, quoting, booking and tracking for their shipments.

Mauro feels that with Team’s current movement of federal freight and status as an approved DOD carrier, Team is well situated to provide services to the buyers seeking a company large enough to serve them, yet small enough to know them and their unique needs.

Team Worldwide is a diversified logistics service provider serving the U.S. with over 40 offices, and over 170 international locations supported by its global center based in Winnsboro, Texas. Team provides total transportation services from the pickup to end delivery, with any ancillary services needed.

Supply chain visibility is an appealing yet elusive capability for most companies. While most recognize the significant benefits that would accrue from comprehensive visibility, few have made it a reality across their global operations. Part of the problem companies seem to have in embracing and implementing visibility is the lack of a comprehensive definition or firm understanding of the transformational potential. In this podcast, World Trade and GT Nexus will discuss the definitions and opportunities as well as how new cloud technology platforms are driving significant value to major companies today.

Speaker: Greg Johnson, Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder of GT Nexus
