YRC Logistics has been named a 2009 “Logistics Partner of the Year” by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for the company’s dedication and excellence as a logistics solutions partner. The recognition is awarded annually by Samsung Electronics to its top logistics partners.

YRC Logistics was one of seven companies worldwide to receive the most recent award, but the only logistics provider in North America with top honors. Honorees were recognized at the Samsung Global Logistics Forum held in Seoul, South Korea.

“For eight years, YRC Logistics has provided Samsung Electronics with warehouse and transportation solutions in the United States and Canada,” said John Carr, president – YRC Logistics. “It is truly an honor to be recognized as a leader in logistics solutions by such a valued customer.”

Companies considered for the Partner of the Year award are selected based on supply chain metrics and key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, returns processing, inventory accuracy, and logistics innovation. This is the first year YRC Logistics has received the award.
